Mima Mae Wolfgang’s Chocolate Pecan Pie is Perfect for any Sunday Afternoon.
9-inch unbaked pastry shell
1/2 cup sugar
1/3 cup flour
1/3 cup Wolfgang (or confectioners) cocoa
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 1/4 cups light corn syrup
3 eggs
3 tablesppons butter, melted
1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla
1/2 cup chopped pecans
1/2 cup pecan halves
In a large mixing bowl, combine all ingredients except pecans. Beat on medium speed for 30 seconds. Stir in chopped pecans; pour into pastry shell. Garnish with pecan halves. Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour; cool. Serve with whipped cream (optional). Yield: 8 servings.
