Wolfgang Candy Company Invites Community to
Spooky Halloween Open House
YORK, Pa. - Wolfgang Candy Company Inc. today announced it is getting into the spirit of the season by hosting a Spooky Halloween Open House at its factory on Friday, October 29, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The public is invited to tour the Wolfgang factory to watch ghosts, goblins and other ghoulish Halloween creatures making candy.
Children (and kids-at-heart) are encouraged to arrive at Wolfgangs Haunted Candy Factory in costume and ready to Trick or Treat. A costume contest for employees is planned, with visitors invited to rate each of their favorite costumes in various categories including Scariest, Funniest and Most Creative.
Although Wolfgangs doors are open all year long for factory tours, this event is a first for us, and one that we hope will provide kids and adults in our community with a little extra Halloween fun, said Kathy Krout, retail marketing manager at Wolfgang Candy. After all, we have the perfect venue to make a childs Halloween dream come true - the chance to Trick or Treat in an actual candy factory!
Although advanced bookings are not required, two classes at New Oxford Elementary School and the Junior Girl Scouts and Brownie Girl Scouts of York have already made reservations for the event. Depending on local response, Wolfgang Candy Company is considering making this an annual community event.
Parents are advised that although children under the age of six must be accompanied by an adult, the Spooky Halloween Open House is not expected to be too frightening for young children.
