NCA Names Board Officers, Directors

Washington, DC � Mitchell Goetze is now Chairman of the NCA, in addition to his role as executive vice-president and COO of Goetze�s Candy Co., Inc.

The association held its annual board meeting during the NCA Washington Forum September 21 to 23, where officer and director appointments were made effective October 1.

Jelly Belly Candy Co.�s President Bob Simpson is serving as vice-chair, while John Brooks, Jr., vice-president at Adams & Brooks, Inc., moves into the role of Treasurer.

In addition to Simpson and Brooks, new members of the NCA Executive Board serving two-year terms are: Don Pearson, president, Cargill Cocoa & Chocolate; and Joe Vittoria, president and CEO, Pez Candy Inc.

The NCA Board of Trustees also gained several members, who will serve three-year terms. The new members are: Scott Albanese, president, Albanese Confectionery; Cindy Brooks, vice-president, Adams & Brooks, Inc.; Gene Dunkin, CEO, Thompson Brands, LLC; Ellen Gordon, Tootsie Roll Industries, Inc. president; Susan Gamson Karl, president and CEO, Annabelle Candy Co., Inc.; Lee Hartman, sales manager, Printpack, Inc.; Jennifer Martin, director of sales, American Licorice Co.; Ben McGlaughlin, president and CEO, Wolfgang Candy Co., Inc.; Barry Sokol, executive vice-president of Sorbee International, LLC; and Keith Von Zup, vice-president of global customer development for Just Born, Inc.
