Wolfgangs Festival Tradition

Wolfgang Candy has a rich tradition of selling delicious chocolates at the good old-fashioned county fair, food festivals, church fairs and, of course, the Farm Show. It is more about meeting our customers face to face, sharing delicious samples of our creamy chocolates, than making a profit on candy sales, says Bob Wolfgang II, a managing partner at Wolfgang Candy. Wolfgang Candy participates in several festivals each year and has been doing so since Wolfgang founders began making their creamy confections.

With temperatures in the 90s, Wolfgang Candy spent the first two October weekends at The National Apple Harvest Festival celebrated at the South Mountain Fairgrounds Near Arendtsville, PA, The festival began 43 years ago by the Adams County Fruitgrowers Association. And, although the sweltering Indian Summer heat was no friend to keeping the chocolates cool, it was welcoming to over 28,000 visitors to the festival on just the first day!

The Festival includes over 300 Arts and dealers, with a craft demonstration area, indoor and outdoor stages for musical entertainment, a pie auction with the proceeds being donated to St. Jude's Children's Hospital, petting zoo, apple bobbing, pie eating contests, demonstrations of Native American dancing, Andes Mountain Music, Tractor Square Dancing and, of course, Chainsaw Carving.

As a PA Preferred Company, Wolfgang Candy will next be visiting the PA Farm Show, one of the most celebrated agricultural events in the country, set for Jan. 5-12, 2008. More than 400,000 people will visit the show to see nearly 8,000 animals, 10,000 competitive exhibits and 270 commercial exhibitors, and of course, to sample wonderful Wolfgang Chocolates.
