Meet One of Our Gang
Wolfgang Candy Employee Nichole Clayton juggles it all.
Since joining Wolfgang Candy in June 2005, Nichole Clayton, one of Wolfgang Candy’s Inside Sales Customer Service Representatives, has not stayed still for a second. Originally hired to sell candy in the Das Sweetenhaus Candy Shoppe and lead factory tours, Nichole has delighted both visitors and staff alike with her cheery disposition and helpful nature. This former high school cheerleader exudes energy and enthusiasm that would leave most of us looking for the nearest LazyBoy.
Juggling nine credits at Harrisburg Community College, Nichole admits that she has little time for much other than school and work. When she finds some free time, Nichole enjoys spending time with her family and going out on the weekends with friends. Pursuing her Degree in Human Services with a Psychology background, it is obvious that Nichole should be working with people.
Now in her third fundraising season at Wolfgang Candy, she has become a customer favorite, noting, “I love building relationships with customers so when they call the next season, they know that a real person who remembers them and cares about their needs is going to be on the other end of their calls.” Nichole appreciates that Wolfgang Candy encourages a high level of response to customers, sharing the example of the company’s change to promoting the All-Natural Healthy line of products when school fundraising customers expressed concern about needing healthier food choices for their students.
Nichole says she has seen rapid change at Wolfgang during her short tenure, with the addition of auto-responding email messages and the ability for customers to use UPS tracking. As part of Generation Y, those born between 1978 to 1990, Nichole is quick to embrace technology and use it to her advantage, saying that she could never handle working full time and taking a nearly full-time course load without online classes that enable her to learn remotely.
From Dover, PA, Nichole makes juggling classes, studying, work and a 25-minute commute look effortless, laughing that all she fits in around the edges is a few workouts and a few moments with friends. Sounds like a wonderfully full life. Thanks, Nichole, for your dedication!
