Benjamin A. McGlaughlin is the great grandson of Delphi Eli and Mima Mae Wolfgang— Wolfgang Candy founders, and grandson to Glenn Wolfgang. He learned about the confectionery business early on, having worked at the family business prior to college. Mr. McGlaughlin returned to Wolfgang Candy Company in 2003 to oversee Finance, Human Resources & Risk Management as Managing Partner, Finance & Administration until being elevated to President & CEO in 2008.

Mr. McGlaughlin earned a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice and political science from West Chester University. He started his career with Philadelphia regional retail department store chain, Strawbridge & Clothier, where he participated in the Company’s Executive Development Program in preparation for the role of store manager. His career path next led him to healthcare management positions in two major Philadelphia hospitals, Pennsylvania Hospital and The Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia. His diverse training and experience in management, organizational and leadership development prepared him for providing both strategic and financial leadership to Wolfgang.

Since his return to Wolfgang Candy, Mr. McGlaughlin has concentrated his efforts with the senior management team to restructure the business toward growth of both the Wolfgang Brand and Private Label businesses in the retail marketplace. Mr. McGlaughlin holds a certified facilitator designation for Franklin-Covey’s program, “The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People®.” He is a member of several confectionery and snack food industry organizations. He serves as a member of National Confectioner’s Association (NCA) Board of Trustees
