Choco-Banana Bread

Wolfgang's Choco-Banana Bread

1/2 Cup Wolfgang Cocoa (or baking cocoa)

1 1/2 Cups Flour

2/3 Cup Sugar

1 Teaspoon Baking Powder

1/2 Teaspoon Baking Soda

1/2 Teaspoon Salt

1/2 Cup Shortening

2 Eggs, Slightly Beaten

2 Medium ripe Bananas (Mashed)

Confectioners' Sugar

Combine cocoa, flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda and salt in large bowl.  Cut in shortening with pastry blender until mixture resembles small peas.  Add eggs and bananas.   Stir until blended.  Pour into a greased and floured 9"x5"x2 3/4" loaf pan.  Bake at 350 deg for 50 to 55 minutes.  Cool for 10 minutes and remove from pan.  Cool completely.  Sprinkle confectioners' sugar on top.  Yield: 1 loaf of bread
